The Foundation SuperACT is an independent facilitator for research and innovation, focusing on development of superconductor and cryogenic technologies for a broad range from basic research to end-use markets. This includes BIG SCIENCE projects as fusion (ITER, DEMO) and particle accelerators (CERN),  but also generators for offshore wind energy, power transmission, energy storage, medical (MRI), vibration free cooling for space missions and telescopes, LNG processing and lightweight robust cryo-composites.

The foundation aims to further reduce the gap between academic research and commercial utilization. The foundation will facilitate research projects that typically have a development character.
